The principal objective of the Solar Floating Island (SFI Brand) is to demonstrate that today, buy using exclusively solar energy, we have the resources, the knowledge and technologies required to reduce our dependence on fossil energy, reduce efficiently Global Warming and make our Planet a secure and better place to live for future generations.

There is more electrical energy created by the sun in one hour than the entire world use in one year. The amount of solar energy reaching the surface of the planet is so vast that in one year it is about twice as much as will ever be obtained from all of the Earth's non-renewable resources of coal, oil, natural gas, and mined uranium combined.
The personal energy evolution consists of putting in the hand of the public a self-sufficient habitat that will harvest sunlight energy, transform it into electricity and store it into batteries for further consumption. The electricity will be used to run the habitat equipment as well as personal electric cars.
Thanks to its technology, the SFI generates more electricity than it consumes. Thus, the SFI is able to sell its surplus of electricity like any generator system.
What is needed is a new medium for exchange in order to implement the personal energy evolution.
Electricity has recognizable value for every person on this planet. A kilowatt-hour (kWh) is an absolute unit that can be measured easily and is impossible to counterfeit. The Worldwide average cost of electricity has remained relatively stable over the last few years at around $0.20 per kilowatt hour.
A unique currency could be created and this currency would represent a kWh, not a dollar amount. An electric-backed currency can work just as well as a local currency or as a global medium of exchange. Since a kWh of electricity has the same value all over the world, a kWh produced let’s say in Australia could be redeemed anywhere.
Even though electricity has a universal global value, it would be impossible to monopolize the production of kWh. Literally, anyone can produce electricity if they choose to do so. Independent energy producers would compete to produce electricity as efficiently as possible. The incentive to create electricity would incredible speed up innovation in technology. Eventually there will probably be superconducting cables between major international economic hubs that transfer large amounts of energy efficiently over very long distances.
It is interesting to realize that the total world power consumption could be generated by using affordable, existing solar technology and constructing a 620 mile by 620 mile solar farm within the Sahara Desert. The power of the sun, 93 million miles away, provides powerful daily assurances that there is no energy shortage in our world.
Moreover, when electric power literally equals money, everyone will immediately become more conscious of their energy use. This alone would have a tremendous benefit on the environment.
By putting in the hand of the public a self-sufficient habitat that would produce its own electricity to run the habitat equipment as well as personal electric cars we are considerably reducing Global Warming and environmental issues.
By generating more electricity than we consume we can sell the surplus and use the profit for personal use or to pay back the initial investment.
By creating a unique energy currency based on kWh, rather than gold or silver, we could prevent the risk of an international economic and financial crash, that will penalize the future generations to come.
